The Group 3 Tramway Quality Handicap is due to take place at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday September 3, 2011.
Run over a distance of 1,400 metres, the 2011 Tramway Quality Handicap is worth $125,000 in prize money.
The Tramway Quality Handicap 2011 is run under handicap conditions and is open to horses aged three-years-old and upwards.
Four-year-old mare Secret Admirer is expected to run in the 2011 Tramway Quality Handicap after finishing second to Red Tracer in the Listed Toy Show Quality at Warwick Farm last weekend.
Trainer Grahame Begg was impressed with Secret Admirer’s run, which was her first since winning the Group 1 Flight Stakes last spring in what was only her fourth race start.
“For her to come back and return so well that’s all you can ask for,” Begg said.
“She’ll run in the Tramway Handicap in two weeks’ time.”
Robert Hickmott’s Mirjulisa Lass is also due to run in the Tramway Quality Handicap 2011.
The four-year-old mare finished a disappointing tenth in the Listed Toy Show Quality after failing to run on in the wet conditions.
Hickmott believes that Mirjulisa Lass is continuing to improve, however, understands that her biggest tests lay in front of her.
“The jury is out on these horses until they come up against horses like Whobegotyou, who have done it all and been there before,” Hickman said.
“She has come back well but I think she’ll be an even better horse in 12 months’ time, I really do.
“She grew two shoe sizes last preparation so she was still growing into herself.”
