A standout performer over the 2014 Autumn Carnival, Weary has opened as and maintained status as outright favourite for success in the 2014 Tramway Handicap, cutting in from opening odds of close to $5 to currently register as clear $3.80 market mover at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Failing to finish outside the places in five starts through autumn, the Astronomer Royal gelding finished third in a minor over 1400m first-up on February 15th before finishing a close second in the Group 2 Ajax Stakes (1500m) and winning the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude (1500m) on Golden Slipper day.

Ending his campaign with an impressive third in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) and second in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m), Weary has been unable to figure in two starts this time in, but is sure to relish the distance and requires of the 2014 Tramway Handicap, and is more than worth consideration in betting markets.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner confirmed for the 2014 Tramway Handicap currently offered at odds of less-than $10, talented sprinter Tiger Tees has returned to racing in exceptional form this season and arguably offers punters the greatest value for success in betting markets at a quote of $5.

Contesting an impressive total of thirteen race wins and five minor places from just 29 competitive starts, the Dubawi gelding won the Listed Falvelon (1200m) at Eagle Farm first-up on February 22nd, and while appearing to be unable to match the class when beating just a single runner home in the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) on March 15th, broke through for a maiden victory at the highest level of Australian racing when leading from start to finish in the Group 1 The Galaxy (1100m) just two weeks later.

Continuing to build in form and class over three proceeding starts, Tiger Tees has returned to the track in scintillating form this time in; winning both the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap (1200m) and Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1400m) on August 23rd most recently.

Allocated the somewhat awkward barrier 11, Tiger Tees is likely to take up the pace in the 2014 Tramway Handicap and will be tough to beat if the Randwick surface is rain-affected.

Also offer punters exceptional value at current odds, Gypsy Diamond finished a credible fifth in the Group 3 Toy Show Quality (1300m) first-up on August 23rd and is more than worth consideration at a quote of $12 to win the Tramway Handicap, or $3.90 to run a place.

Claiming three wins and four minor places from just 15 starts, the Not A Single Doubt filly finished second in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) first-up this year before running a luckless fourth when blocked for a run in the Group 2 Surround Stakes (1400m) on March 8th.

Appearing out of sorts when ninth in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) on March 22nd, Gyspy Diamond responded in the best way possible when taking out the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) before running on for a close second in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) just one week later.
